At the outset of the game, the player is tasked with selecting a character, each endowed with distinct characteristics, encompassing unique character skills, exclusive card types, and more. The ultimate objective is to ascend the tower from its base, encountering numerous expansive floors throughout the journey. Each floor presents a maze of branching paths, where diverse occurrences await, such as engaging monsters in combat, relaxing by the campfire, bartering with merchants, and encountering random events.

The core of the game's combat system revolves around turn-based strategy. In each turn, the player draws a fixed quantity of cards from their hand and receives a predetermined amount of energy. Each card demands a varying degree of energy for its utilization. Any unused cards at the end of a turn are discarded. Once the draw pile is exhausted, the discard pile is shuffled and recycled. The game boasts a diverse array of cards, primarily categorized by their "color" and "type". For instance, "Attack" cards deal direct damage to foes, while "Skill" cards offer supportive abilities without immediate harm. Some skill cards enhance the player's "slot value" to mitigate damage, often temporarily, while others allow for drawing additional cards. "Ability" cards exert lasting effects throughout the battle but dissipate after use, bypassing the discard pile. Conversely, "Status" and "Curse" cards can inflict negative impacts like dizziness or burning, often unusable and occupying precious hand space. Each victorious battle awards random rewards such as coins, cards, or potions.

Furthermore, the game incorporates the "Relic" system, a pivotal aspect that significantly shapes the gaming experience. Relics empower players with various benefits, including automatic health restoration after combat, the ability to draw additional cards at the start of a battle, immunity to negative statuses, and more. Additionally, the game embraces the "randomness" characteristic of Roguelike genre, as the map, enemies, cards, and events are dynamically generated with each new game session. Once defeated in battle, players must commence a fresh game, lacking the option to revert. Nevertheless, even in defeat, players may retain permanent achievements, rendering each attempt worthwhile. Following a battle's conclusion, a score is tallied, accounting for map exploration extent and enemy eliminations. Reaching specific score thresholds unlocks fresh cards, props, and events, providing an ever-evolving gaming experience.
