Embark on this adventure as the Guardian Knight, a newly inducted member of the Guardians of Canterbury. Naming your character and choosing your gender, you are thrust into the action as the kingdom is attacked. Led by the valiant Captain Eva, you rush to the castle's main gate to fend off the invading creatures. However, a catastrophic fireball explodes, scattering the Guardians and leaving you saved by a mysterious figure.

With the palace gate breached, a horde of vile invaders swarm the kingdom's capital. Displaying bravery and prowess, the Guardian Knight succeeds in repelling the invaders, rescuing compatriots Bob and Linda, and reuniting with Captain Eva. Together, they dash towards the main palace, only to confront a towering Minotaur. Overcoming this formidable foe, they return to the palace to rendezvous with the young princess and Cammy.

Utilizing Kami's powerful abilities, the citizens are evacuated to safety. As the four heroes prepare to depart, they are ambushed by the Black Magician, the mastermind behind the invasion. Miraculously, the princess manages to slow down the Magician, allowing Cammy to use her flying magic and escape. Amidst the chaos, the Guardian Knight and the princess crash-land near the forest outskirts of Canterbury.

Recovering from the shock, the Guardian Knight discovers the princess being pursued by a group of kobolds intent on abducting her. This marks the beginning of a perilous adventure as they flee and search for a way to liberate Canterbury from the invaders' clutches.

The player takes control of the guardian knight in a top-down perspective. To advance to the next round of the game, the player must engage in combat with enemies, utilizing various strategies and baiting them into desired locations. However, if the battle is not concluded, the player will be confined to a specific area. As the game progresses, players can unlock new heroes and acquire new weapons by opening chests or discovering hidden locations.

Initially, players camp in the forest to recuperate after completing a stage. But upon completing Chapter 1, they arrive at Paradise Castle, an airfield managed by the innkeeper Lorraine at her residence. Additionally, players can summon heroes using gems each time they attempt it. They also have the option to join a guild with other players, unlocking a raid mode targeted at four bosses.

After unlocking Heavenhold, players can explore other game modes, such as Colosseum and Arena. These challenges allow players to engage in battles alongside other players. In Colosseum mode, players risk four heroes in combat against four heroic opponents. Matches are automated, but players can rearrange their heroes' positions before the battle begins. In Arena, players control only one of three heroes and compete online against heroic foes. If a hero falls, the player is replaced by a second and then a third hero until the last hero is defeated.

Lastly, in Kama-Zone mode, players engage in combat similar to the Roman Colosseum, ascending through ranks to reach the Boss level.
