Zoom functionalities offer either a strategic overview or detailed inspection, with a double-tap resetting the view to standard scale. An exclamation mark on the minimap indicates non-standard zoom levels.
Economic & Diplomatic Insights: In-game buttons provide access to vital information, allowing players to evaluate each province's economic health and population, as well as initiate diplomatic endeavors through the "Diplomacy View," crucial for treaty negotiations, pacts, and alliances.
The financial system in "Age of Civilizations" operates through a dual mechanism of income taxation, proportional to your civilization's demographic and economic output, and military expenditures, which escalate with the size of your armed forces—maritime units incurring higher maintenance costs than land-based troops.
