In this game, the player assumes the role of a guardian knight, viewing the action from a top-down perspective. Progression is dependent on successfully engaging and defeating enemies in each round. To achieve this, players must utilize strategic maneuvers and lure foes into advantageous positions. However, if the battle is not resolved, the player will become "locked" within a specific area.

Throughout the game, players have the opportunity to unlock new heroes and acquire fresh weapons by opening chests or discovering secret locations. Initially, players rest and recuperate in the forest after completing each stage. Upon finishing Chapter 1, the adventure continues at Paradise Castle, an airfield managed by the innkeeper Lorraine at her home.
