Mario Kart Tour is a fun racing game featuring a short, sturdy Italian plumber worker. In Mario Kart Tour, players will control Mario as he races against racers from all over the world!
Mario is undoubtedly the most iconic character in the series, but there are other characters to choose from in the game as well as Mario.
There is a wide range of racing cars, choose your favourite from the different models, drive it and show off your abilities on the challenging tracks.
Drift, accelerate and crash through the curvy tracks with racers from all over the world, gaining experience as you race to the top.
As well as competing against unknown racers, players can invite their online friends or those close to them to join in the fun and compete on the same track as you! Mario Kart Tour is a great game to play either solo or with multiple players.
There are also special props in the game and collecting them will help players to fly faster and better around the track, but the effect is effective for a short period of time, so don't rely too much on this ability.
As you get to know the game and take part in more races, you will unlock more cars and characters in the game. Aim to win higher positions on the leaderboards and take part in higher leagues!
The controls of the Mario Kart Tour are not too difficult, but test the player's handling skills. Control Mario's forward direction by moving left and right, turning and drifting in time through the track to move faster and sprint to the end.
The number of laps per race is also reduced from three or more to two, with a fixed number of eight players. Each Cup race consists of three different tracks and one technical level (e.g. time trial). The chances of trucks leaving the main track are significantly reduced, with the exception of hidden routes leading to specific tracks. There are no cooldowns for prop boxes in the game and all players are bound to receive props when they pass a specific location.
The game follows the same race combination selection model used in Mario Kart 7, but the "Frame" and "Tire" sections will be combined into a "Truck" category, while the The "Character" and "Glider" sections will remain largely unchanged. The game will appeal to players using virtual lottery mechanics rather than focusing on player skills. Special skills will be added to some characters and gliders and better combinations will be proposed before the race starts. All characters, trucks and gliders will have a score and ability level mechanic and must be upgraded with experience based on rankings or "tickets" obtained from treasure chests. Some characters can acquire two or three items at the same time for a given course.
The player's choice of character, truck and glider will give them base points, while starting with storing rockets, performing moves to specific locations, tilting small accelerations and influencing opponents with props will all translate into tracking points. Upon completion of each match, players will receive 'gold', 'sublime stars' and experience points. A small number of rubies can be earned by completing certain objectives, reaching levels and opening treasure chests.
